Firefox 3.5 Released and Live Download Statistics

I’ve always loved Firefox, and will happily continue using it for a long long time to come.  A couple of weeks ago I downloaded the latest version, 3.5 which was still in beta, and have been very impressed with the noticeable speed increase.

You can also download it from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/firefox.html

The main reason for this performance increase seems to be the new TraceMonkey Javascript engine it’s making use of.  There’s a whole lot more than you can read about on http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/performance/

Another cool thing to checkout are the live download statistics from http://downloadstats.mozilla.com/.  It was released a couple of hours ago, so it’s interesting and exciting to watch how many people are downloading it to try it out.
