Hi.

Please be assured that there was no hack attempt.

The bank upgraded its online banking systems and is currently experiencing excess processing volumes. In order to maintain services, we are regulating the number of online bankers at any one time and are admitting new logons each time volumes allow us to do so. We are urgently working on restoring unrestricted access to FNB Online Bankers.

FNB apologises to customers inconvenienced by limited access to Online Banking during Monday 5 Oct.

yeah, i hear you, and I agree with that.
I also bank with them. Were it me in your situation, id be furious. Especially seeing as you tried to get going on the cellphone banking and couldnt even do that!

I’d rather be told the truth and know what is happening. I know it’s not possible because it would cause mass hysteria, but being left in the dark not knowing what’s happening is just as bad.

Im going to sound terribly otherwise now, but maybe there is some sort of continuous hacking going on that brought them to keep it off line while investigating,… so doing actually protecting you, it’s valued client.
