I did my progress test on 16 February 2009, and since then I’ve only done 2 training sessions after that. It’s been a busy few weeks, but tonight I forced myself to start with week 3 again. So I should be back on track.
It didn’t feel as bad as I thought it would after not having done it in about 2 weeks.
We’ve also been slipping with the Ninjitsu training.
It’s strange how life can interfere with stuff you really should be doing.
It’s all about kicking yourself in gear and just start doing it, instead of contemplating the whole time why you’re not doing it!

I went to do my pushups and situps last night, and as I was reading the training guide, I saw that I have to do a progress test.
So I did both and got to 33 pushups and 50 situps. Making nice progress!

After missing out on 2 training sessions last week, I was impressed with myself when I picked it up again on Friday and Saturday. So as of today I’m back on schedule.
The last training session was quite hectic, and I could really feel in my arms that I had worked. Perhaps it was because I did the 2 sessions within 12 hours of each other. I’m glad to also report that I’m still keeping up with the amounts I should be doing. I even do about 5-10 more on the last set.

I’ve decided to do that two challenges as one. So I’m doing my pushups, and immediately after that a set of situps, then back to a set of pushups, and so on until I’m done with 5 sets of each. Burns a bit more, and instead of taking 15 minutes to complete it, it only takes 8
Deciding to only start at 70% of my max was a good idea, as I can feel the exercises working without killing myself. It also helps with your state of mind as you feel now that you’re doing good and progressing.

I decided to start with both the Hundred Pushups and Two Hundred Situps challenges tonight. It went better than I thought it would, and I’m glad I started. This time I will be going all the way until I can do 100 pushups and 200 situps in 1 go!
